Pendaftaran sekolah kedinasan tahun 2019 akan dibuka sebentar lagi. Calon pendaftar diberikan tenggang waktu dari 9 April sampai 30 April 2019 untuk mendaftar. Proses pendaftaran dimulai melalui dua portal yaitu sscasn.bkn.go.id dan dikdin.bkn.go.id dilanjutkan proses registrasi melalui website sekolah kedinasan masing- masing.

Sama seperti perekrutan PNS, Secara umum semua pendaftar sekolah kedinasan akan melalui berbagai macam tes yang bertahap dan salah satunya adalah seleksi kompetensi dasar (SKD) melalui sistem CAT BKN.

Seleksi Kompetensi Dasar (SKD)

Seleksi Kompetensi Dasar merupakan tes untuk mengukur kemampuan dan karakteristik dalam diri seseorang berupa pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perilaku pendaftar sebagai alur bahwa pendaftar yang diterima dan nantinya lulus akan diangkat menjadi seorang PNS.

Beberapa materi pada seleksi kompetensi dasar mencakup antara lain sebagai berikut;

1. Tes wawasan Kebangsaan (TWK)

Tes  Wawasan  Kebangsaan  (TWK)  untuk  menilai  penguasaan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai 4 (empat) Pilar Kebangsaan Indonesia yang meliputi:

• Pancasila; 
• Undang-Undang Dasar 1945;
• Bhineka Tunggal Ika; 
• Negara  Kesatuan  Republik  Indonesia  (sistem  Tata  Negara Indonesia, sejarah perjuangan bangsa, peranan Bangsa Indonesia dalam tatanan regional maupun global, dan kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia secara baik dan benar).

2. Tes Intelegensi Umum (TIU)

Tes ini dimaksudkan untuk dimaksudkan untuk menilai

• Kemampuan   verbal   yaitu   kemampuan   menyampaikan informasi secara lisan maupun tulis. Materi untuk tes ini  mencakup padanan kata, pengelompokan kata, sinonim dan antonim.
• Kemampuan numerik yaitu kemampuan melakukan operasi perhitungan angka dan melihat hubungan diantara angka- angka. Materi kemampuan numerik mencakup tes hitungan (aritmetika), tes logika angka, tes seri angka dan tes seri huruf serta tes angka dalam cerita.
• Kemampuan  berpikir  logis  yaitu  kemampuan  melakukan penalaran secara runtut dan sistematis; dan
• Kemampuan  berpikir  analitis  yaitu  kemampuan  mengurai suatu permasalahan secara sistematik. Contoh soal kemampuan analitis seperti tes logika umum, tes simpulan silogisme, tes analisis pernyataan, dan tes logika cerita.

3. Tes Karakteristik Pribadi (TKP)

Tes Karakteristik Pribadi ini bertujuan untuk mengenal karakter, kepribadian dan tingkat emosional pelamar, untuk materi detailnya, mencakup :

• Integritas diri;
• Semangat berprestasi;
• Kreativitas dan inovasi;
• Orientasi pada pelayanan;
• Orientasi kepada orang lain;
• Kemampuan beradaptasi;
• Kemampuan mengendalikan diri;
• Kemampuan bekerja mandiri dan tuntas;
• Kemauan dan kemampuan belajar berkelanjutan;
• Kemampuan bekerja sama dalam kelompok;dan
• Kemampuan menggerakkan dan mengkoordinir orang lain. 

Passing Grade Tes Kompetensi Dasar (TKD)

Nilai ambang batas (passing grade) yang harus dipenuhi pada Tes Kompetensi Dasar (TKD) sesuai dengan peraturan Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Republik Indonesia Nomor 20 tahun 2017 tentang nilai ambang batas Tes Kompetensi Dasar (TKD) tahun 2017 adalah 

• Tes Karakteristik Pribadi (TKP) sejumlah  143
• Tes Intelegensia Umum (TIU) sejumlah 80
• Tes Wawasan Kebangsaan (TWK) sejumlah 75

Seleksi kompetensi dasar (SKD) menggunakan sistem computer assisted test (CAT). Berdasarkan pengalaman tahun 2018 lalu, banyak dari para pendaftar yang tidak lolos pada bagian tes karakteristik pribadi (TKP) mengingat jawaban soal yang relatif semuanya benar. Karenanya, latihan soal dan menjawab soal berdasarkan sudut pandang pekerjaan bisa lebih membantu untuk lolos passing grade tes tersebut.

Menambahkan Materials ke dalam Course merupakan poin yang terpenting dalam mengelola pembelajaran berbasis Schoology di kelas anda. Dengan menguasai fitur ini, guru akan lebih mudah dalam mengelola segala kepentingan pembelajaran baik dalam hal pemberian tugas maupun materi. 

Untuk menambahkan course materials di Schoology, ada beberapa langkah yang mesti diikuti, berikut caranya,

Untuk menambahkan materi pelajaran, navigasikan ke menu Course anda dan pilih Add Materials dari tampilan Courses anda. Buat Courses anda, kemudian isikan Courses Name, Section Name, Subject Area, dan Level. 

Beberapa bahan dapat ditambahkan ke dalam kursus (courses), buatlah folder lebih dahulu dengan menggunakan ikon Add Folder dan kemudian akan muncul tampilan pop up untuk mensetting folder anda. 

Anda bisa mendesain folder anda dengan menambahkan Judul, Warna, Deskripsi, Tanggal Aktif (jika berlaku) dan Tingkat Visibilitas.

Saat folder baru sudah dibuat, tambahkan material ke dalam folder tersebut. Pada menu Add Materials kemudian pilih Add Assignment dalam folder tersebut. 

Pada halaman Add Materials, isikan nama tugas anda (name); tambahkan deskripsi (description). Pada bagian bawah Description (ditunjukkan dengan kotak warna merah), silahkan upload file dari komputer anda. 

File dapat berupa format PDF atau Word. Selain itu, anda bisa memasukkan tautan sebagai material anda.

Pilih tanggal Jatuh Tempo (due date), dan klik Save Changes saat sudah selesai.

Siswa akan melihat tugas muncul di umpan berita (news feed) mereka serta di bilah pemberitahuan begitu anda selesai dalam melalui proses penambahan Course Materials ini.

Salah satu keuntungan mengintegrasikan Schoology dengan Google Drive adalah mudahnya menambahkan resource langsung dari Google Drive ke dalam akun schoology kita. Fitur ini memungkinkan kita mengintegrasikan resource di Schoology dengan file- file yang terdapat dalam akun Google Drive kita. Tentunya hal ini sangat memudahkan kita dalam mengelola atau memasukkan file- file untuk pembelajaran tanpa ribet membuat secara manual.

Untuk menambahkan Google Drive ke Schoology, caranya sangat mudah hanya dengan beberapa langkah saja. Nah, langsung saja, berikut tahapan- tahapan prosesnya.

1. Buka Akun Schoology kita.

2. Pada tampilan dashboard menu Schoology, pilihlah menu Resources. Anda akan melihat tampilan sub menu pada bagian kiri layar, silahkan pilih subbmenu Apps. Klik persetujuan tentang pemasangan aplikasi, pilih Agree.

3. Pada tampilan pop up, anda akan melihat aplikasi-aplikasi yang terintegrasi dengan Schoology untuk mengupload resources. Selain Google Drive, anda bisa menambahkan integrasi aplikasi lain seperti Dropbox, Evernote, Vimeo, dan sebagainya. Pilih Google Drive Resource App dan klik Install.

4. Hubungkan dengan akun Google anda.

5. Setelah berhasil, anda akan melihat pada tampilan layar file- file yang terdapat pada akun Google Drive kita. Pilih file yang dibutuhkan kemudian pilih menu Import dan klik Import File.

Penerimaan Taruna Baru Sekolah Tinggi Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (PTB STMKG) dibuka sebentar lagi. Pemerintah baru saja mengumumkan pendaftaran serentak dengan 7 sekolah kedinasan lain di bawah Kementrian/Lembaga. Sekolah Tinggi Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika merupakan sekolah ikatan dinas di bawah Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika (BMKG). Pada tahun 2019 ini STMKG membuka kuota penerimaan calon taruna/taruni sebanyak 250 orang. 

Dilansir dari pengumuman website resminya, program studi yang dibuka oleh STMKG tahun 2019 ini adalah Meteorologi dengan 63 taruna dan 7 taruni, Klimatologi dengan 27 taruna dan 3 taruni, Geofisika yaitu 27 taruna dan  taruni serta Instrumentasi- MKG dengan 120 taruna. 

Adapun persyaratan calon taruna, terdiri dari persyaratan umum dan khusus. Dalam persyaratan umum misalnya, meliputi syarat status kewarganegaraan, kesehatan, usia, status menikah, bebas narkoba sampai dengan tinggi badan calon taruna. Sedangkan persyaratan khusus meliputi syarat spesifik dalam lulusan misalnya kriteria lulusan baik SMA maupun SMK serta syarat pertimbangan nilai rapor atau nilai ijazah. 

Note : Dijelaskan juga untuk lulusan siswa SMK, diberikan kesempatan hanya bisa memilih atau mendaftar pada program studi Instrumentasi- MKG dan hanya untuk beberapa kompetensi keahlian SMK seperti Teknik Mekatronika, Teknik Elektronika Industri, Teknik Jaringan Akses, Teknik Transmisi Telekomunikasi, Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak dan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan yang bisa mendaftar.

Learning Management System (LMS) bukanlah hal yang baru dalam pembelajaran. Dimulai dari penerapan pada dunia kampus, saat ini LMS sudah mulai merambah ke tingkat sekolah dibawahnya seperti SMA, atau SMP. Salah satu LMS yang populer adalah Schoology. Schoology memungkinkan kita dalam membuat kelas mapel, kelompok belajar maupun sumber belajar. Selain itu tersedianya fitur attendance/absensi, untuk memeriksa kehadiran peserta didik dengan pilihan “hadir”, “izin”, ,”terlambat”, ataupun “tidak masuk”. Setiap aktifitas siswa juga akan terpantau melalui fasilitas Analytic pada setiap course, assignment, discussion dan aktivitas lain yang kita siapkan untuk peserta didik.

Pada tulisan lalu, pernah saya ulas tentang cara membuat tes dengan schoology, lebih jelasnya, baca artikel berikut ya,, Mudahnya Membuat Kuis dengan Schoology. Pada tulisan kali ini, saya akan melanjutkan tulisan tersebut, akan tetapi saya akan mengulas bagaimana mengimport file soal format Blackboard ke Schoology.  

Dalam membuat kuis melalui Schoology, ada dua cara yang bisa dilakukan, seperti cara yang manual atau biasa yaitu dengan memasukkan soal satu persatu disertai dengan jawaban (misal bila multiple choice test, disertai dengan opsi jawaban) dalam format yang tersedia. Tidak akan saya ulas dalam tulisan ini, lebih jelasnya, baca artikel saya melalui link diatas.

Cara yang selanjutnya adalah dengan bantuan Quiz Generator. Dalam hal ini saya memanfaatkan fitur dari Blackboard Quiz Generator. Cara ini lebih mempermudah dan mempercepat kita dalam menginput soal, misalnya saja saat kita memiliki database soal dalam Microsoft Word, tinggal kita sesuaikan saja dalam tahapan prosesnya. Adapun yang mesti kita persiapkan pertama- tama adalah soal- soal yang akan kita inputkan.

Langkah- langkah :

Bagian I

#1. Buka file soal yang nantinya akan kita masukkan, bisa dalam format Word. Pilih item soal yang akan di copy dan kemudian klik kanan> Copy.

#2. Buka Blackboard Quiz Generator melalui link halaman berikut;

https://ed.oc.edu/blackboardquizgenerator/. 

Note : Anda juga bisa memanfaatkan Blackboard Quiz Generator melalui situs lainnya. Gunakan mesin pencarian Google dan ketikkan Blackboard Quiz Generator di dalamnya. 

#3. Copy Pastekan File  tulisan yang sudah anda copy (Langkah #1) ke dalam halaman Blackboard Quiz Generator pada halaman tadi (Langkah #2). Sampai disini ada beberapa aturan format yang mesti dipenuhi, 

• Nomor 1 pada gambar, berilah tanda asterix (*) didepan pilihan jawaban yang benar.
• Nomor 2 pada gambar, berilah jarak  antara nomor satu dan dua (enter satu kali)

#4. Bila sudah benar formatnya, klik generate test questions, Anda akan melihat background hijau bila format yang anda masukkan benar.

Atau, 

Background merah seperti pada gambar bila ada format yang salah saat masukkan teks. 

#5. Saat sudah benar formatnya, silahkan pilih Download Questions Pool pada bagian bawah, soal yang anda masukkan tadi akan di simpan dalam format ZIP.

Bagian II

#1. Buka akun Schoology Anda,

#2. Pilih menu Courses, lalu select My Courses dan klik Create Course pada bagian kanan layar anda.

#3. Berikan nama Course anda, dan isikan juga data yang lainnya lalu klik Create

#4. Buat Quiz anda, Klik Add Materials, pilih Add Test/ Quiz

#5. Isikan data yang tersedia, lalu klik Create

#6. Setelah berhasil membuat Test/ Quiz, maka pada menu Add Question, pilih Import Test/ Quiz

#7. Pilih Blackboard 7.1 - 9.0 lalu klik next

#8. Upload File yang akan diimport (hasil dari langkah #5 Bagian I)

#9. Bila berhasil, anda akan melihat tampilan seperti pada gambar dibawah ini.

Anda bisa mencoba melihat kuis yang anda import melalui halaman preview.

Nah, demikian cara import soal ke Schoology dengan format Blackboard. Sekali lagi, sistem ini memudahkan kita mengimpor soal khususnya soal yang sudah pernah kita buat dalam format lain seperti format Docs. Plus tanpa kita masukkan satu persatu secara manual.

Pelaksanaan Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK) SBMPTN 2019 sudah kian dekat. Sebagian besar siswa mungkin sudah melalui tahapan awal prosesnya dengan melakukan pendaftaran SBMPTN 2019. Sistem pelaksanaan SBMPTN 2019 berbeda dari pelaksanaan tahun sebelumnya misalnya saja dari penyelenggara, sistem ujian serta dalam segi soal, jumlah soal, dan alokasi waktunya.

Materi Tes Potensi Skolastik (TPS) merupakan salah satu materi pada tes UTBK SBMPTN 2019. Materi ini mengukur kemampuan penalaran umum, kemampuan kuantitatif (termasuk matematika), pengetahuan dan pemahaman umum, serta kemampuan memahami bacaan dan menulis. Nah, ujian bahasa Inggris dilibatkan dalam kemampuan pengetahuan dan pemahaman umum. Bisa diprediksi dari kisi- kisi soal serta tipe soal tahun- tahun sebelumnya, soal- soal UTBK SBMPTN 2019 mempunyai proporsi soal HOTS yang lumayan.

"This coral reef fishery generates diverse social, economic and cultural values, which support the health and well-being of the Kīholo community," said lead author Dr. Jack Kittinger, director of Conservation International's Hawai'i program. "These benefits are likely common to coral reef fisheries across the globe, supporting key food security functions, cultural practices as well as local livelihoods."
The results of the study suggest that similar coral reef fisheries around the world provide to the people who depend on them with the same types of benefits. The survey found that 58 percent of the caught seafood is kept for home consumption, 34 percent is given away and only 8 percent sold to commercial markets. "We found that the vast majority of the catch is kept for home consumption or given away as part of cultural practices, showing the important role that this bay plays in sustaining our community," said Jenny Mitchell, a board member of Hui Aloha Kīholo. "When Kīholo thrives, so do we."
By surveying fishermen for an entire year, researchers were able to estimate that the fishery produced more than 7,300 pounds of seafood per year for the community of people who rely upon the fishery. Nearly 60 percent of the catch is used for subsistence, contributing to community food security, and geographic analysis of community beneficiaries showed that 20 percent of seafood procured is used for sociocultural events that are important for social cohesion.

Researchers evaluated the effect avocados had on traditional and novel cardiovascular risk factors by replacing saturated fatty acids from an average American diet with unsaturated fatty acids from avocados.
Forty-five healthy, overweight or obese patients between the ages of 21 and 70 were put on three different cholesterol-lowering diets. Participants consumed an average American diet (consisting of 34 percent of calories from fat, 51 percent carbohydrates, and 16 percent protein) for two weeks prior to starting one of the following cholesterol lowering diets: lower fat diet without avocado, moderate-fat diet without avocado, and moderate-fat diet with one avocado per day. The two moderate fat diets both provided 34 percent of calories as fat (17 percent of calories from monounsaturated fatty acids/MUFAs), whereas the lower fat diet provided 24 percent of calories as fat (11 percent from MUFAs). Each participant consumed each of the three test diet for five weeks. Participants were randomly sequenced through each of the three diets.
Researchers found that Compared to the baseline average American diet, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) -- the so called 'bad cholesterol' -- was 13.5 mg/dL lower after consuming the moderate fat diet that included an avocado. LDL was also lower on the moderate fat diet without the avocado (8.3 mg/dL lower) and the lower fat diet (7.4 mg/dL lower), though the results were not as striking as the avocado diet.
Several additional blood measurements were also more favorable after the avocado diet versus the other two cholesterol-lowering diets as well: total cholesterol, triglycerides, small dense LDL, non-HDL cholesterol, and others.
These measurements are all considered to be cardio-metabolic risk factors in ways that are independent of the heart-healthy fatty acid effects, said Penny M. Kris-Etherton, Ph.D., R.D., senior study author and Chair of the American Heart Association's Nutrition Committee and Distinguished Professor of Nutrition at Pennsylvania State University, in University Park, Pennsylvania.
"This was a controlled feeding study, but that is not the real-world -- so it is a proof-of-concept investigation. We need to focus on getting people to eat a heart-healthy diet that includes avocados and other nutrient-rich food sources of better fats," Kris-Etherton said.
In addition to MUFAs, avocados also provided other bioactive components that could have contributed to the findings such as fiber, phytosterols, and other compounds. The Mediterranean diet, includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fatty fish, and foods rich in monounsaturated fatty acids--like extra-virgin olive oil and nuts. Like avocados, some research indicates that these not only contain better fats but also certain micronutrients and bioactive components that may play an important role in reducing risk of heart disease.
"In the United States avocados are not a mainstream food yet, and they can be expensive, especially at certain times of the year. Also, most people do not really know how to incorporate them in their diet except for making guacamole. But guacamole is typically eaten with corn chips, which are high in calories and sodium. Avocados, however, can also be eaten with salads, vegetables, sandwiches, lean protein foods (like chicken or fish) or even whole."
