Pada post kali ini kita akan belajar mengenai suffix yang membentuk adjectives dengan penambahan suffix seperti -al, -ial, -ic, dan -ical. Bentuk adjectives dengan penambahan suffix- suffix tersebut sering sekali kita temukan contohnya kata seperti  presidential, residential, industrial, dan sebagainya.

Untuk beberapa kata yang berakhiran /t/ atau /ns/ bisa dilihat pada perubahannya berikut ini,

2. -ic dan -ical

Pada bentuk kata sifat (adjective) yang berakhiran -ic dan -ical dibentuk dari kata benda (noun), kadang- kadang keduanya memiliki arti yang hampir sama seperti pada poetic dan poetical.  Atau kadang- kadang juga memiliki arti yang berbeda seperti pada kata economic  (berkaitan dengan ekonomi) dan economical (menghemat uang). Demikian juga pada kata politic (bijaksana atau diplomatis) dan political (berkaitan dengan pemerintah atau politik).
